Tracfones at Walmart - DMFL

Tracfones, at most Walmarts, now come with Double Minute For Life (DMFL).. Double Minutes For Life gives you twice as many minutes when you add minutes as you would expect to receive.

Double Minutes for Life cards usually cost about $49.99, representing a huge savings.

The scary issue with double minutes for life is that many Tracfone user’s believe they may be planning a series of rate increases. So if they raised their rates 25% you would still be saving money, but not a whole 50%.. Rates would eventually increase canceling out the double minutes for life, or so some believe.

I am finding that the cell phone to have is the Smart Page. However, finding one may not be easy. I am fortunate, I have a budget phone center in my town and I had been going to there to pay other bills, so when I saw the phones I asked about them. $40 a month for unlimited talk and text. You buy the phones outright, mine was $50 and included a camera ( which I wasn’t really looking for, but it’s nice to have, I guess). So, for $90 the first month, I changed my phone service, deleting my landline completely. I had tracfones before that, and they were okay. Adding time was a pain, b/c I had to call them in. This phone, you call a number and put the code in and right away the phone is ready to go. So, I pay $40 every 30 days to keep the service.
