For those of you out there who don’t mind parking in the handicapped parking space when you really don’t need it, there are programs called internet relay for making free phone calls from your computer to any phone. ATT, and many other big phone companies provide internet relay services for free as the government pays them a ridiculous amount of money for every minute their agents are participating in a relay call. The relay services are for those who are deaf, or have another disability preventing them from using a regular phone.
Free internet relay calls work by you giving the agent a phone number through a chat box. The agent will than work as a translater by speaking directly to the person you called, translating text to words and vis versa. It’s very simple.
Although “illegal” much like parking in a handicapped space, if you are ever in a bind and really need to call someone, it’s a great way to get it done.
