Verizon is preparing the launch of the new BlackBerry Storm 2 in the next couple of months, thus has cut the price on some BlackBerry models, clearing out the inventory.
They have dropped the price of BlackBerry Storm aggressively from $100 to $50. BlackBerry Storm was one of Verizon’s flagship phone and competitor to the iPhone. Also price cut was including the Pearl Flip from $80 to $40 and the Tour from $200 to $150.
This huge price cut and sale will help clear the way for new Storm 2 which is scheduled to be release sometime in October.
Even though RIM only confirmed that it would be working on the Storm 2, there is no definitive release date, price or specifications.
The Storm 2 was reported to have Wi-Fi addition and an improved SurePress typing system.
