Cheaper Virgin Mobile Phones (Refurbished)

If you have ever logged on to virgin mobiles website, you have probably noticed that from the site you can let them know that you lost your phone. If you “let them know you lost your phone” you will be taken to a screen that allows you to select reduced price, refurbished phones and order them immediately. All of the popular phones are available as refurbished phones, and the refurbs are just as good as the original (I used to work in VM’s return department).

Some phones are practically free. For example, the Nokia Shorty can usually be had for about $5. Shipping is often free (depending when you order the phone), and the price is usually about 40-50% of the regular retail.

So, for example, you could get the switch_back for about $50 with free shipping!

Once you order your replacement phone, your old “lost” phone can be reactivated on a new account.. that is.. once you find it.

I ordered a refurbished phone a couple weeks ago. It took forever to get the phone and just last week I had to send it back because the screen went blank!

I don’t know how long ago you worked in RMA, but the cheapest lost/stolen replacement phones are $7.99, and there is now a very limited selection of models to choose from. The K7,K9, K10 & 8500 can be had for $7.99. The Marbl & old Slice are 14.99 and that’s all there is right now for Lost/Stolen replacements.

i was beginning to believe that i may possibly be the only human being who thought about this, at least now i learn im not nutty :) i will make it a point to take a look at a couple of different threads immediately after i get a little caffeine in me, it’s complicated to read without having my coffee, I was unbelivably late last night practicing zynga poker and after having a few beers i wound up getting rid of all my facebook poker chips cheers :)

Does anyone by any chance know which phones are available as replacements right now (and possibly how much they cost)? Or can you only buy a replacement version of your own phone? Thanks!
