Looking for some quick credits to order a new phone with your prepaid company? I’ve had a phone with Virgin Mobile for over 2 years now and broke the phone. I rarely use the account, so I didn’t want to spend much money.
Since T-Mobile has always given me credits when I loose/want a new phone (even without a contract push), I decided to call in and mess with some VM reps. A rep offered me $10, the maximum amount they can offer. Talking with a retention agent, I was able to score a total of $20 towards a new phone.
This could work with other prepaid providers, or maybe I just got lucky. It’s worth trying out if you have had your account for awhile.

I thought I should share this with some of my readers.
Keep in mind when making calls using a prepaid phone you will be charged whether the call goes through or not. It’s pretty standard now to charge if the connection is for more than 30 seconds or a minute. The network charge is usually 1 minute of airtime, so if your paying 10 cents a minute, every time you call and don’t get through it’s going to cost you 10 cents for another network charge.
So, if your trying to get a hold of a friend, calling 20 times is going to get pretty expensive. Try to avoid doing this and wasting your minutes. A lot of contract companies do this also, and will even charge you for 2 minutes if your call is 61 seconds (front the time you dial to the time you hang up, not actual connect time depending on network).
I know this might be obvious to some of you, but when I worked at a phone company I was yelled at by customers daily because of this!
Keep this in mind if your trying to milk those minutes…

Getting free minutes from your prepaid cell phone provider is easy. Most often your provider will be trying to encourage users who have not added minutes recently to add money to their account, or attract potential customers to their service. That’s why phonepromocodes.com was created, we are here to help you get something extra back from your provider.
Getting free minutes and ringtones out of your provider is not exactly rocket science, but there is a fine more line that you might not want to cross, such as the social engineering method which is briefly covered below.
If your interested in finding the promotional codes mentioned in this post, click "Phone Deals" above to find lists of codes from popular providers.
Social Engineering:
Having worked for a very popular prepaid cell phone provider, I can tell you that social engineering frequently works for getting free minutes. Methods vary, but the the most effective way is just to annoy the crap out of representatives until what you want happens. This method is not so legal, and I don’t recommend using it.
Getting unwarranted or trivial Refunds is the most common form of social engineering. This is when a customer calls in and claims are ringtone did not download fully, their call was dropped due to an error on the providers end, or because you are Read more

Why pay for Garmin on the Helio Ocean?
With Nav4All (www.nav4all.com), you can get free GPS Navigation on your Helio Ocean, for absolutely no cost. Well, no cost for the GPS, you will still have to pay for the data your sending and receiving. I HIGHLY suggest that you get an unlimited data plan before you install any GPS app.
Since this is first and foremost a prepaid site, we are focusing on the Helio, truth be told, Nav4All will work with any phone with a bluetooth gps navigator. Phone such as the T-Mobile Shadow will need additional equipment.
Sure Nav4All isn’t as intuitive or advanced as Garmin GPS, but you won’t have to pay $9.99 a month for something your not going to be using but a couple times a month anyways. Nav4Free is guaranteed to be free until ATLEAST 2010. That’s pretty impressive for such a feature rich application.
Who really cares if you sacrifice a few features while saving a bundle? I don’t.
Don’t have a Helio or phone that supports GPS? Try this solution for Free GPS on ANY Prepaid Phone.
